Terms of use
Last updated: 19 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of guidemeto.co.uk. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site. The privacy policy explains cookies and personal information separately.
1. What the site is
Guide me to UK publishes information about places and accommodation in the United Kingdom. The information is general. It is not a booking, not an offer of a room, and not advice you should treat as complete for safety-critical decisions. We do not act as an agent for hotels, cottage owners or ticket sellers unless a page explicitly says so. At the time of writing, no page says so.
2. Accuracy
We review guides and correct mistakes that readers report. Ferries, trains, museums, footpaths and prices still change without notice. Check with the operator before you travel, especially for island boats, seasonal buses and cliff paths. We are not liable for a journey that relied on the guide as if it were a live timetable.
3. Acceptable use
Do not try to break the site, probe it for weaknesses, scrape it in a way that degrades service, or send us unlawful, threatening or misleading email. You may link to our pages. Please link to the specific guide rather than copying it onto another site.
4. Our content
The text of the guides, the page design and the Guide me to UK name are ours or are used with permission. You may quote a short extract with a link to the page. You may not copy whole guides, republish them, or present them as your own booking service.
5. External links and advertising
Links to other websites are for convenience. Those sites have their own terms. The site may show third-party advertisements, including Google ads. An ad is not our endorsement and not proof that we have stayed at a property. Clicks on ads are subject to the advertiser's rules. Please do not click advertisements artificially.
6. Liability
The site is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss of profit, lost bookings, and other indirect loss arising from use of the guides. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or for any other liability that English law does not allow us to exclude. Nothing on the site is a warranty that a path, beach or road is safe on the day you use it.
7. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have jurisdiction, without removing any rights you have as a consumer to bring a claim in your home courts where the law keeps that right.
8. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent via the contact page.
Guide me to UK is an independent information site. We do not own hotels or take bookings. Fares, opening hours and timetables change, so confirm them before you travel. Reviewed October 2026.
